Dr. Carolyn Buxton
Dr. Carolyn Buxton is the Medical Director at South Burnaby Veterinary Hospital. Previously the clinic owner, it was her vision to create a clinic that provided caring, compassionate and high-quality health care for pets and top quality service for clients.
Originally from Montreal, she now lives in Coquitlam with her husband and two daughters. She has two small dogs, "Stella” and “Chip,” and two cats, “Tango” and “Nacho.” In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and skiing with her family.
Dr. Buxton graduated from the Ontario Veterinary Hospital in Guelph, Ontario in 1994. Very shortly after graduation, she moved to Vancouver to start her career in vet medicine, and within 2 years became a practice owner. Her passion and commitment to her clients, their pets and the amazing clinic staff have always been her top priority. She is very proud to be a part of a clinic that has been awarded "Best Vet Hospital in Burnaby" for over 18 years.
Dr. Buxton enjoys her work enormously and is well-loved by her clients and their pets. She is keen on practising the most up to date medicine and keeps her skills sharp by attending numerous Continuing Education seminars yearly. In addition, Dr. Buxton is involved in international volunteer work, and regularly volunteers her time to support spay/neuter clinics and pet rescue. Dr. Buxton’s main interests are surgery (both conventional and laser), dentistry and behaviour.
