Kirsten, RVT
Kirsten, RVT Registered Veterinary Technician

Kirsten joined our team in the summer of 2007. Her work in both an emergency clinic as well as serving on the Executive Board of the B.C. Veterinary Technologists Association has provided her with a depth of experience.

Kirsten’s goal has always been to make a difference in the lives of animals. Having done this on a one on one scale for 10 years, she went looking for a new challenge in 2008, which lead her to teach in the Veterinary Technology Program at Douglas College. It allows her to pass along her knowledge and experience and consequently helps to impact the animals that each of her students cares for in the future. She didn’t want to leave the South Burnaby family completely, and so she continues to work one Saturday a month.

Kirsten is a triathlete and has completed three Ironman distance and eight half-Ironman distance races. She also volunteers in Victim Services. She and her partner have four dogs, three of whom compete in Agility, and one cat, Spartacus.
