Dr. Julie Lahey joined our team with a lifelong passion for animals and a strong interest in the health sciences. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of British Columbia in 1992 before pursuing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the Atlantic Veterinary College, graduating in 2000. She is also a Master Reiki Practitioner, bringing a thoughtful and compassionate approach to patient care.
Dr. Lahey’s professional interests include surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, and client education. She enjoys the variety that veterinary medicine offers and values building strong relationships with both pets and their families.
A memorable experience during her career was completing an externship at the Vancouver Aquarium, where she had the opportunity to expand her knowledge while working in a unique environment.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Lahey lives in North Vancouver with her husband and is a proud parent of three university-aged children. She shares her home with two cats and enjoys staying active through kayaking, swimming, hiking, downhill skiing, snowshoeing, and yoga.
