Elizabeth joined our team with a passion for helping animals and advocating for pets during their most vulnerable moments. She earned her Bachelor of Veterinary Nursing degree through the Onderstepoort Veterinary program at the University of Pretoria and brings a compassionate, hands-on approach to patient care.
Her main interests include emergency and critical care, internal medicine, nursing care, and shelter medicine. Elizabeth especially enjoys helping nervous pets feel safe and comfortable while building trusting relationships with both patients and their families.
Before entering veterinary medicine, Elizabeth worked as a computer programmer before changing careers at age 29. She also previously owned a horse in South Africa and competed in jumping and dressage events.
Elizabeth speaks both English and Afrikaans and has a special place in her heart for shelter animals. While her beloved pets have recently crossed the rainbow bridge, she looks forward to welcoming another rescue into her home someday.
